Top Cash Cows - Fremantle Dockers
Saturday, 25th February 2012
Our Pre-Season analysis continues looking at Cash Cows in more detail.
Next with the Fremantle Dockers
Any Fremantle Docker Player priced around $200K or below is in this list and is Ranked based on Cash-Cow potential.
Over the coming few weeks of pre-season we are going to do an analysis on players with value from each club. Rather than just show the Top 40 list in the AFL, we are going to go deeper than that and discuss all the Cash Cow options from each team. We will discuss the players who are unlikely to get a game. The players who may get a game but are more likely to give you peanuts anyway. Our job is to give you the information. Then you can make your own informed decision.
Why do a full analysis on Cash Cows? Let’s face it, they dictate if you win or lose in fantasy land! Anybody can tell you which premiums you should take.
*Please Note the '2012 Mid Season Price Rise' is for Round 10 and is formulated behind the projected statistics. This is merely a gauge & is not exact. A lot more goes into the pricing changes than a simple formula
11 Cameron Sutcliffe M Fremantle Dockers $98,700 |

Comments: Sutcliffe is a 19 year old, which Fremantle drafted with their final pick in last year’s National Draft. He is an inside midfielder and quite an athlete. Last year he played in the SANFL representing the top league for Woodville-West Torrens 9 times. He is going to need to impress in the WAFL before being given any opportunity.
At Reserve level in the SANFL last year he averaged 19 possessions a game. Cash Cow Potential: Unlikely to feature early |

Comments: King-Wilson can play as a rebounding half back flanker and also push through the midfield. He is very much like Rory Sloane from the Adelaide Crows. Intense. Hard at it. His second efforts are spectacular. He will develop into a very good footballer.
Cash Cow Potential: Rookie Listed and not ready. |

Height:

Comments: He played in 12 games last season with the WAFL Colts averaging 20 possessions and 8 tackles. He is not ready for AFL football at this stage. Plays inside 50 as a tackling, harassing, chasing small crumbing forward.
In the NAB Under 18 AFL Championships he averaged 13 possessions, 3 marks and 3 tackles, leaving him with 52 Dream Team points a game playing in 3 games over the 5 game carnival. Cash Cow Potential: We will unlikely see him this year. |

2012 Mid Season Price Rise:
$36,416.09
Height:

Comments: Crichton is a ball winning midfielder from Tasmania. He played 5 senior games last year and didn't make a huge amount of noise in the process. He certainly has upside for Fremantle in years to come, but in fantasy land he is less relevant this year.
Cash Cow Potential: Priced highly and far from a walk up start. |

2012 Mid Season Price Rise:
$19,607.10
Height:
192.00
Weight:
80.00
Comments: Faulk is a key defender who broke into the team late last year to play 2 games against some heavyweights in Carlton and Collingwood. He is fast and has a good vertical leap on him. At the end of 2008, it was suspected he was not going to make it in the AFL, but a strong season in the VFL pushed him onto the Fremantle list.
Cash Cow Potential: Key defenders are not on the CV of a good fantasy player. |

2012 Mid Season Price Rise:

Height:

Comments: Dawson is a shutdown defender. They don't help you in fantasy land. A team change will not change him. Same role different team.
Cash Cow Potential: Pass |

17 John Anthony F Fremantle Dockers $178,100 |

2012 Mid Season Price Rise:
$79,185.38
Height:
192.00
Weight:
94.00
Comments: Anthony is attempting to make a remarkable turnaround. Last year he was not picked in the WAFL Grand Final team. Now Ross Lyon believes Anthony has a spot in the Best 22 at Full Forward at AFL Level. Anthony has a beautiful kick for goal, but he is not what you would call a dangerous forward. It will be interesting to see if he can hold his position. It's quite easy to gauge how much longer he will be in the team. Check out how many sausage rolls he is kicking.
Cash Cow Proposition: Key position forward and not a very good one either. |

18 Dylan Roberton D Fremantle Dockers $221,500 |

|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Projected Season Average:
56.00
2012 Mid Season Price Rise:
$49,922.14
Height:
191.00
Weight:
82.00
Comments: Robertson is a defender who went from bad to worse in 2011. As in he went from a 60s average to a 40s average across 2 seasons. We all know not to invest chips in key defenders. They have a job to shutdown a player first and collect possessions second.
Cash Cow Potential: Will look to cement a spot across half back but too expensive and unreliable. |
