Any Sydney Swan Player priced around $200K or below is in this list and is Ranked based on Cash-Cow potential.

Over the coming few weeks of pre-season we are going to do an analysis on players with value from each club. Rather than just show the Top 40 list in the AFL, we are going to go deeper than that and discuss all the Cash Cow options from each team. We will discuss the players who are unlikely to get a game. The players who may get a game but are more likely to give you peanuts anyway. Our job is to give you the information. Then you can make your own informed decision.

Comments: Mitchell is a top 10 pick, which slipped to pick 21 due to the father son ruling with the Sydney Swans. He has an outstanding ball winning ability and his left foot is excellent and can penetrate. In his five matches for Claremont he averaged 131 Dream Team points and was a tackling machine. Sure there is a big step between Colt level and the AFL, but we think he has the potential to average of between 70-80 and if he gets some stints on the ball, look out. He is perfect for the Sydney Swans. His style is their style.

In the NAB Under 18 AFL Championships he averaged 28 possessions, 2 marks and 3 tackles leaving him with 82 Dream Team points a game playing in only 2 games over the 5 game carnival.

Cash Cow Potential: The sad news is that Mitchell is dealing with a hamstring injury and is very unlikely to feature in Round 1 now. But he is certainly a player to keep in mind later in the season as a mid-season cash cow.

Comments: Rookie listed Cunningham continues to impress in NAB Cup action as a strong, hard at it midfielder. Cunningham was nearly Best on Ground in the second week of the NAB Cup fixture, and has put himself in terrific contention to be elevated, after his performance against St Kilda in the first match.

Cash Cow Potential: Rookie elevation. Yes, very possible. Round 1 Debut a tougher ask. But he is performing well enough to suggest Sydney will try him out at some stage this year.

Comments: Walsh is a huge unit and was a star player of Gaelic football. He is a strong and dominant forward who can also move well for his frame. Walsh left St Kilda because of his frustration of not getting his opportunities over the years. Scott Watters, the new coach at St Kilda promised Walsh he would be given more opportunities in the new regime at St Kilda. Cleary Sydney has offered Walsh something special to leave if this is the case. We expect him to be given an opportunity.

Walsh is as a key position player. John Longmire asked everybody to lower expectations. Longmire is concerned the public expectations on Walsh is too high, considering he has not even played a single game at AFL level. Walsh certainly hasn't done anything in pre-season to suggest we should have high expectations. He went possession less in 1 mini game in the NAB Cup opener .

Cash Cow Potential: He has to be on your radar because of his price and being in the running for Round 1 debut, but his form at NAB Cup level has been highly suspect and he is a key position forward.

Comments: Lamb is a high draft pick just 2 years ago, but didn't get a look in last year with injuries getting a hold of him. He managed to play some games late in the season at lower level but never pushed for senior selection. Lamb is a medium forward who kicked 44 goals for the season at TAC Cup level before he was drafted. He has not featured in NAB Cup action, but we expect when his body is right, Sydney will give him some senior games this season.

Cash Cow Potential: He has potential, and will likely play at some stage this year, but not early.

Comments: Rohan is breaking out in pre-season. Forget the start of the season, Rohan, the Number #6 Draft pick in the 2009 National Draft, is putting his name on the map in pre-season. He is so exciting as a small forward. Strong, tough and terrific skills. He influences the game on most possessions.

Cash Cow Potential: He is explosive, in Best 22, and performing in pre-season, but we worry he just won't score enough to warrant selection.

Comments: Jetta underperformed last year after a strong start to his career in 2010. He was regularly named as a sub and missed out on finals. Jetta has been playing through the midfield in pre-season and performing at a high level. He is pushing hard to become a regular in the Best 22. Jetta's biggest asset is his blistering pace.

Cash Cow Potential: Expensive and untrustworthy.

Comments: Lockyer is a tall defender with terrific athleticism, performing well at the Draft Combine in the vertical leap and kicking tests. He played some time in the WAFL last year, and with a scarcity of talls was drafted early. He is not an ideal scoring cash cow, although he would likely be the 3rd key tall.

In the NAB Under 18 AFL Championships he averaged 12 possessions, 1 mark and 1 tackle leaving him with 41 Dream Team points a game over the 5 game carnival.

Cash Cow Potential: He has not featured in NAB Cup action, but if his form is around the mark at lower level, we suspect Sydney we test him. He is not going to be a big fantasy player early on, even with games.

Comments: McNeil is a rookie listed midfielder who is yet to be elevated entering his 3rd season. He is certainly running out of time to impress and it is far from ideal that he has not even featured in the NAB Cup this year. He played all season last year at lower level and was named in the best in more than half of those games. 2012 is crunch time for McNeil.

Cash Cow Potential: NAB Cup action should have been his time to proove his worth. We worry he has missed his chance and will need to perform at lower level to even simply be Rookie elevated.

Comments: Gordon came from Sydney's NSW Scholarship program, and was upgraded off the Rookie List at the end of last year. Gordon plays through the midfield and is a gut busting runner, who puts his body on the line. In the pre-season he played a strong mini game in the 1st Round of the NAB Cup, but has been named as the sub in the rest of the games, coming on during the 3rd quarters and not making much of an impact.

Cash Cow Potential: Gordon in a fringe Best 22 player, who will be in and out of the side. He is also expensive and we suggest you pass.

Comments: Dennis-Lane hardly fired a punch in 2011, playing in only 3 matches for the season and being subbed out of all 3 games. He did not have many issues with injury for the season and actually kicked 65 goals over 15 games at lower level. He was just not being named.

Cash Cow Potential: Fringe Best 22. Hasn't played in NAB Cup action. Expensive. Pass.
