The Top 100 Players - Round 14

Friday, 29th June 2012

Using a computerised formula Elite Sports News is able to generate a player points Projector for Dream Team & SuperCoach using a series of objective criteria against numerical historical data. Some of the objective criteria are short & long term form, strength of opponent & home/away short & long term form to name a few. These projections are estimated to be at least 20% more accurate than merely relying on season averages. (This is based on our 2011 projected results & the 2011 season averages in testing)

Elite Sports News has put no subjectivety into the rankings of these players. It is purely based on what the projection software thinks.

Note the Price rise/fall estimations are formulated behind the projected statistics. This is merely a gauge & is not exact. A lot more goes into the pricing changes than a simple formula

*The Projection software does not know about injury, pre-season form or role changes. Its a software program to make sure you never overlook anybody. It has no feelings or bias towards teams or players. Please use it as a research tool to come to your own conclusions, rather than use it as fact.

Comments: Its fantastic to see superstars who continue to win a bucket load of the ball in any environment. Ablett as expected has missed a couple of games already in 2012 with injury, but his scores are as solid as anybody in the completion.

Projected Season Average:

Season Projected Price Rise:

$35,212.91

Comments: The best thing about owning a player who Captains his side is that they will never give up! The Western Bulldogs are just outside the 8, and missing out on finals is quite likely this year. This doesn't slow Boyd down. He is a monster fantasy scorer. A very safe option.

4   Lance Franklin   F   Hawthorn Hawks   $542,500

2012 Games Played: 12

Projected Season Average:

111.70

Season Projected Price Rise:

$9,406.86

Comments: Franklin's upside is irresistible. His talents are beyond anything a top line shutdown defender can stop in the AFL. His side is a top 4 proposition and the Hawks use the ball better by foot than any other team by far. He has spectacular delivery. So what's the problem? He is injury prone and he does get suspended, but they come with the package as it does with G Ablett's injuries. His 13 goals for over 200 points in both formats was a reminder of how detrimental it is, not having him in your side.

Projected Season Average:

Season Projected Price Rise:

Comments: After a slow start to the season, Redden has certainly turned things around over the past month. He has been scoring at an alarming rate and we have no reason to think it will slow down.

Projected Season Average:

111.20

Season Projected Price Rise:

$40,668.36

Comments: Stanton has not just continued on from his strong finish to 2011, but exceeded expectations and broken Dream Team records in the process. He is the most explosive scorer in the game at the moment and playing for an excellent team to justify it continuing. Our only issue is the occasional 70, which puts you slightly uneasy with him as Captain.

Projected Season Average:

110.10

Season Projected Price Rise:

$11,092.66

Comments: Beams has broken out in 2012 with the help of some unfortunate injuries to Luke Ball, Dane Swan and Dale Thomas. He looks unlikely to slow down, but we suspect he has peaked and you are best not to expect higher than what he has achieved.

Projected Season Average:

109.40

Season Projected Price Rise:

$16,412.97

Comments: The Jobe train fell away mid season last year with injuries, and many forgot his early season dominance. We named Jobe Watson as ESN's hot pickup in pre-season. He has not let us down. Its Watson's time. Get on board.

Projected Season Average:

108.80

Season Projected Price Rise:

$158,374.00

Comments: Zorko has been unbelievable since coming into the side. He is fast taking the mantle off of Giles as the Number 1 Cash Cow for 2012. The projector is picking up 100 after 100 point scores and has ranked him the Number 3 Forward in fantasy! His scores a monstrous and he is improving each and every week.

Projected Season Average:

108.70

Season Projected Price Rise:

$55,328.53

Comments: Thompson is performing at a slightly higher level than last year, riding the success the Adelaide Crows are on. There is no question it is helping Thompson having Dangerfield and Sloane playing so well, that it takes some of the attention away from him.
